EURE, NC – Barbara Frances Blanchard Hedgepeth, 80, of 309 Tuggie Eure Road, Eure, NC, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

Mrs. Hedgepeth was born in Yonkers, New York on June 17, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Wallace and Marion Newton Blanchard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Curtis Hedgepeth; and by her daughter, Barbara Sue Hill Jones.

A homemaker, Mrs. Hedgepeth was a member of Eure Christian Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Joanne Hedgepeth of Eure; her sister, Audrey Horetz of Poughkeepsie, NY; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Eure Christian Church and will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Wade Bennett. A private burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie.

Friends are invited to join the family in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, on Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m., or in the church social hall immediately following the service on Monday.
