Physical Science Egg Drop Challenge

Mrs. Kittrell’s Physical Science classes had an exciting and educational experience with the Egg Drop Challenge! By using their understanding of force, motion, acceleration and time, the students were able to design and test contraptions to protect the “egg” during a drop from the GCHS Press Box. The incorporation of the Pocket Lab sensor during test runs allowed them to gather real-time data on the forces acting on their designs and evaluate their effectiveness.

The success of all 2nd-hour groups indicates strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. This hands-on project not only reinforced scientific principles but also fostered creativity and critical thinking. It is great to see students engaging with science in such a practical and fun way.
