MURFREESBORO – Excitement is brewing with the announcement of the continuation of a small town tradition.

The 39th annual NC Watermelon Festival is scheduled July 31 – Aug. 3 in Historic Murfreesboro.

Watermelon Festival patrons will once again experience a variety of entertainment, arts and crafts, great food, nightly street dances, agricultural parade, and a carnival atmosphere with Brinkley Amusement Rides and games.

What makes the Watermelon Festival special is the true Southern hospitality shown by the festival volunteers along with the citizens of Murfreesboro.
