Gates County NAACP Branch 5396 has elected new officers for the next two years, effective Jan. 1, 2025 until Dec. 31, 2027.

Those officers are as follows:

President Rita Roberts

1st Vice Chair Dennis Knight

2nd Vice Chair Jimmy Boone

Secretary TBA

Treasurer Marion Byrd

Assistant Treasurer Tonia Smith

The branch meets at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Gates County Community Center. The next meeting is Jan. 21.

The branch seeks new members. Dues are $30 per year. In addition the branch will continue with various activities, to include voter registration.
