GATESVILLE – The Gatesville Hunt Club will sponsor its annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic from 8 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Dr. Elizabeth Whalen, veterinarian with Gates County Animal Clinic, will be on site to administer vaccinations.
The cost will be $10 per dog or cat for a one year or a three-year vaccination. A three-year vaccination requires a veterinarian’s signature or proof of previous vaccinations.
Gatesville Hunt Club members will be on site to assist in handling and caring for your animals.
Those having their pets vaccinated are required to present the following information: their name, address, and telephone number, as well as each individual animal’s name, age, sex, color, and breed.
The rabies virus can infect domestic pets, agricultural animals, and people when they are exposed to rabid wildlife. North Carolina rabies law requires that all owned dogs and cats four months of age or older be vaccinated against rabies. One shot is not enough; rabies vaccinations must be kept current.
The Gatesville Hunt Club is located on Business 158, one mile east of Gatesville.
The Gatesville Hunt Club or its members will not be responsible for any accidents or other liabilities at this clinic.
