GATESVILLE – The Albemarle Commission Area Agency on Aging is now accepting registration for its upcoming Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop in Gates County.
The workshop opens on Aug. 30 and run for six consecutive Fridays (10:30 am until 12 noon) through Oct. 4 at the Gates County Public Library.
As it is a progressive workshop, participants are encouraged to attend each session.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is intended for family caregivers. The workshop gives them the tools to help reduce stress, improve self-confidence, manage time, set goals, solve problems, better communicate their feelings, make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources.
Participants are given a copy of the Caregiver Helpbook to help them navigate the class as well as providing additional information on available resources.
The workshop is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. Please contact Ashley Lamb at 252-404-7090 (weekdays between 7 am and 3:30 pm) to register or for more information.
