GATESVILLE – There has been a change in how Animal Control works in Gates County.
Effective Monday, July 1, Gates County Sheriff Ray Campbell said his office will no longer be responsible for Animal Control calls.
“The position, which for years fell under the Sheriff, will now be under the County of Gates,” Campbell explained on the Facebook page of the Sheriff’s Office.
Campbell said the county has hired someone to fill the Animal Control position.
Those in need of Animal Control services can contact the new Animal Control representative, George Parker, at (252) 287-9323 to request assistance.
