GATESVILLE – Using a balanced attack that saw 10 players score, Gates County’s Lady Barons cruised past Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, 62-10, here Friday night (Jan. 19).

Zebriya Woodley and Semayia Cross led the way with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Semiyah Saunders (9 points), Kyndall Banks (8), London Barber (6), Zariah Rogers (5), Ny’Ashia Perry (5), Camiya Riddick (4), Shalamar Boyce (2), and Malana Jordan (2) added to the winning effort.

Banks and Jordan led the Lady Barons in rebounding with eight caroms each.

Cross also excelled on defense as she came up with eight steals.

The Gates County girls improved to 12-3 overall with the win.

The Lady Barons have two games on their schedule this week: Jan. 26 at home vs. Perquimans County and Jan. 27 at Falls Lake
