Gateway Community Health Center celebrates special week

GATESVILLE – Gateway Community Health Center, located at 501 Main Street in Gatesville, celebrated National Health Centers Week from Aug. 6-13.
Employees at the local health center celebrated the special week as well as offering thanks to community stakeholders.
The week was also used to feature tours of Gateway Community Health Center’s new Mobile Dental Clinic.
Gateway Community Health Centers, Inc. is experiencing a successful year of opportunities and continues to promote the need for preventive health care services to the community.
The local health center welcomes Dr. Lewis Rogatnick to its staff. Dr. Rogatnick is a Family Medicine Specialist most recently hired by Gateway Community Health Centers. He received a medical degree from Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine Science and has been in practice for more than 30 years.
Sharon Bullard, a Family Nurse Practitioner, is also a medical provider for the Gatesville’s office. Bullard has been with the Gatesville office since August 2022. She graduated with honors from Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 2001.
Having more than 20 years of diverse experiences, especially in primary care and preventive medicine for all ages, Bullard and Dr. Rogatnick are a wonderful addition to the Gateway team.

Gateway Community Health Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation headquartered in Gatesville, celebrating eight years of providing quality healthcare service to northeastern counties of North Carolina. The project began as a shared planning effort spearheaded by concerned community leaders.
The health center is governed by a nine member volunteer Board of Directors which represents (a) users/patients of the health centers, (b) community organizations, government and local businesses and (c) the health care profession.
The service area encompass seven North Carolina counties: Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank and Perquimans.
