SUNBURY – Easter season is approaching and it is a time to remember and celebrate the “New Life” that past and present family members and friends received through Jesus Christ’s Resurrection.

Easter is a time to celebrate the “New Life” God gives to each of us through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. This year Philadelphia United Methodist Church will observe a Resurrection Cross Sunday for the Easter Season. This is a time when you can give thanksgiving to God for your family and friends by remembering or honoring them.

For a $10 donation each, a flower will be placed on the outside Resurrection Cross throughout the Easter Season for someone special in your life or memory. The deadline for ordering this special gift is Wednesday April 5. Names must be received on time to ensure that they are included in the Resurrection Cross Sunday Worship Service and also listed in the handout for the event.

Please send a check payable to Philadelphia United Methodist Church ($10 per flower) to Amylynn Ashley, P.O. Box 43, Gatesville, NC 27938. Please include the names of those to be remembered and indicate In Honor of or In Memory of and by whom the remembrance is given.

Donations received will assist with ongoing projects at Philadelphia United Methodist Church.

On Sunday April 16, the church will conduct its Resurrection Cross Celebration event where the name of each person honored or memorialized on the Resurrection Cross will be included in the worship service. Contact Amylynn Ashley 252-465-4115 for further information.
