GATESVILLE – “March Madness” will carry over to April.

Gates County Community Partnership will conduct the 2023 Alumni Basketball games at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 at the Gates County High School gymnasium.

This year’s event will include alumni basketball games featuring Gates County High School basketball stars of the past and alumni cheerleaders. Other events include a 3-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk contest, and “Rep Your Class” spirit competition; along with raffles and other giveaways.

General admission is $7 (children 5 and under are free).

Participation fee is $25 per player.

All proceeds will be donated to Gates County Schools.

“One hundred percent of the proceeds we raise at this event will be donated to our local school system here in Gates County,” said Benjamin C. Saunders, Jr., Director of the Gates County Community Partnership.

Saunders added that the Partnership is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity.

“Our mission is too inspire and increase community engagement by the citizens of Gates County for the educational and social development of its youth,” Saunders stated.
