SUNBURY, NC – Dale Priddy Cronce, 71, peacefully passed on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Born on April 20, 1951 in High Point, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose S. and Helen Thomas Priddy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Robinette Ballard and Barbara Rambo.
Dale was a master tailor of historic garments, making the Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown Drum & Fife Corps uniforms for the Williamsburg Costume and Design Center. She also designed and sewed costumes for Thomas Jefferson of Monticello and other Revolutionary War-era actors.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 years, Michael E. “Mike” Cronce; their sons, Brent M. Cronce of Portland, OR and Brooke W. Cronce (Dawn) of Raleigh; a grandson, Logan Cronce; a sister, Helen “Lee” Ehle (Walter); a niece, Tory Rule; and nephews, Daniel Gilbreath (Jody), Kevin Mesmer, Patrick Ehle (Lisa), and Perry Ehle (Sharen).
Plans are being made for a memorial service to be held at a later date and where she will be laid to rest on the family plot at Providence United Methodist Church in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
