GATESVILLE – The Gates County Lions Club will host their annual Gates County Christmas Parade at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 on Main Street in Gatesville.
Come enjoy school bands, floats, antique cars, horses, antique tractors, and much more.
Line-up will be on New Road (the street running between the new courthouse and the county extension office.) Entries should arrive 30 minutes early.
If you or your organization can participate in any of the following ways: marching band, other marching unit, drill
team, float, antique car, business car, church entry, storybook characters, clown, or any other ways appropriate
for Christmas, please phone 252-395-6478 by Dec. 5.
Entry fees are not mandatory; however, donations will be accepted. Suggestion ($10) Make checks payable to
Gates County Lions Club. The Gates County High School FFA and HOSA groups will be assisting the Lions with the
Parade this year and a portion of the donations will go to these groups.
Emergency First Responders, Law Enforcement, and School Bands need not provide the donation.
Captain Bob’s BBQ & Fried Chicken plates with hushpuppies, green beans and cheesy potatoes will be sold the day before the parade on Friday, Dec. 9 from 11 am -1:30 pm at the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department. Plates are available for a $12 donation.
